Cognitive Assessments
Upstream offers cognitive assessments in order to establish an ability and achievement profile for students.
Typically, cognitive assessments are performed using the Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children (WISC-V) and the Weschler Individual Achievement Test (WIAT-III). Adult assessments can also be conducted.
These assessments can be used to generate a profile of individual strengths and weaknesses and to identify Specific Learning Difficulties (e.g. Dyslexia, Dyscalculia) Intellectual Disabilities and Giftedness.
Cost of the assessments is $1850.
Clients need to attend 2 testing sessions and a detailed history is obtained from the parent / caregiver and the school. A detailed report is then written and feedback given to the client and their family.
